Kru Rafael was introduced to martial arts at a young age. At just 8 years old he began training under his grandfather, Rafael Busto. Busto was a two time champion in Cuba. Later, after losing his grandfather, Rafael met the late great Grand Master Rick Davis. It was under Grand Master Rick that Kru studied the art of the Eight Limbs Muay Thai and Brazilian Jujitsu. After just 3 years with Rick, he began competing in amateur MMA and kickboxing Championships. In his amateur career, he acquired two MMA Championship belts! At age 25 he started his Pro career. What matters most to him now? Passing down the knowledge that Rick Davis and Busto gave to him and to give everyone the same opportunities that these men gave him.
